Manchester LGBTQ+ Theatre Company return to Hope Mill Theatre

Manchester based LGBTQ+ theatre company Green Carnation make their return to the stage this October with a new production of Philip Ridley’s scorching psychological thriller, ‘Vincent River’. Green Carnation Company, whose mission is to tell queer stories through quality theatre, will return to Hope Mill Theatre from Wednesday 12th to Wednesday 19th October to premiere their first production since the pandemic. Britain’s Got Talent Winner Jon Courtenay To Star In St Helens Christmas Show

The greatest fairytale of them all will entertain family audiences at St Helens Theatre Royal this Christmas - and today producers have announced that Britain’s Got Talent 2020 winner Jon Courtenay will appear as Dandini in the spellbinding seasonal spectacular, following his appearance on the show on Friday night. Cinderella will make it a magical Christmas at St Helens complete with fairy godmothers, glass slippers, enchanted pumpkins, ugly sisters and a fantastic fairytale finale. The theatre’s Christmas pantomimes have become a real highlight of the festive season year after year, and this sparkling production of Cinderella will be no exception. Original cast to get it wrong again for just 2 weeks

The original cast of The Play That Goes Wrong are reprising their roles for two weeks as part of the production’s current UK tour, 10 years after they first performed the play at The Old Red Lion Pub Theatre. As the arts continues to return to what we used to call normal, we are starting to look ahead to both Greater Manchester and Edinburgh’s Fringe festivals. North West End UK has been supporting GM Fringe since our creation in 2014 and Edinburgh Fringe since 2018 following our expansion, and we are looking forward to the biggest year yet at both festivals. The full cast for the first major UK national tour of Helen Forrester’s Twopence To Cross The Mersey has been announced. Twopence To Cross The Mersey UK Premiere Tour 2022 opens this September in Wirral, a place which features heavily in Helen’s million-selling books. The hit stage drama has been revamped and updated as it gears up to visit 15 venues nationwide during Autumn 2022. The 9-strong cast, playing over 40 characters, has now been announced and includes five cast members who have appeared in its sister show By The Waters Of Liverpool.
