The Greatest Love Of All Whitney Houston Tribute Comes To St Helens

The Australian producers of a Whitney Houston tribute concert bring their smash-hit show to St Helens Theatre Royal next week starring Britain’s Got Talent finalist Belinda Davids. The Greatest Love Of All starts its UK national tour in St Helens. The tour was originally planned to follow Belinda’s appearance in the BGT finals in September 2020 but was postponed due to pandemic restrictions.   The Greatest Love Of All comes to St Helens Theatre Royal for one night only on Wednesday 6th October 2021, the show is at 7.30pm.   St Helens Theatre Royal has been granted the use of the Society of London Theatre & UK Theatre’s ‘See It Safely’ mark. St Helens Theatre Royal Announce Their Easter Streamed Pantomime

St Helens Theatre Royal has announced that its Easter pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk will be streamed online to watch at home. Producers Regal Entertainments had previously announced that Goldilocks would be staged during half-term for audiences visiting the theatre. However, given the Government’s recent roadmap to ease restrictions, plans to stage the panto have now been revised as it is not yet permitted to open the venue’s doors to the public. Instead, Jack and the Beanstalk will be filmed and streamed online during the Easter break, enabling families to still enjoy the experience of pantomime during the school holidays but from the comfort of their own home. Theatreland relocates to St Helens

The producers of stage show spectacular Theatreland regretfully announce this evening that it has become necessary for their production, due to be staged at the DriveINSIDE Theatre at the Trafford Centre this Saturday 22nd May, to be cancelled.   However, they have arranged for Theatreland to be presented in the socially-distanced, Covid-safe environment of St Helens Theatre Royal at 2pm on Saturday, May 22nd.   Producer of the show, Adam Curtis, says that his company has been left with no alternative but to withdraw Theatreland from the planned drive-in theatre at the Trafford Centre. “We have been liaising with the venue organizers, Beyond Theatre Limited, this week,” says Adam.   “Our concerns regarding delivery of the venue infrastructure by them within a timescale capabl...

St Helens Theatre Royal To Change Christmas Pantomime Title Due To Pandemic But A Show Will Go On!

Regal Entertainments announced today that their 2020 Christmas Pantomime at St Helens Theatre Royal has been changed, but a show will go ahead. The curtain was due to go up on Cinderella from Saturday 5th December ’20 – Sunday 3rd January ’21 and had previously announced Linda Robson in the lead role.  However due to the government restrictions now enforced on theatres, it makes the current title not financially viable to continue with, Cinderella is one of the biggest productions in pantomime and carries many additional costs.
