The NT Live transmission, in conjunction with Sonia Friedman Productions, from Wyndham’s Theatre of Tom Stoppard’s Leopoldstadt, was somewhat timely coming as it did on International Holocaust Memorial Day, and more so when its depiction of the travails of a Jewish family resonates so strongly with the unveiling of portraits of the last survivors of the Holocaust. Sonia Friedman Productions announce new dates for The Shark is Broken

Sonia Friedman Productions is delighted to announce new dates for The Shark is Broken at the Ambassadors Theatre after the production was postponed last year due to the pandemic. Ian Shaw and Joseph Nixon’s brilliantly funny play will now run in the West End from 9th October – 15th January. Tickets will go on general sale on Thursday 1st July at 10am. Tom Stoppard’s Leopoldstadt returns to the West End August 2021

Tom Stoppard’s Leopoldstadt, directed by Patrick Marber and produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, will return to Wyndham’s Theatre for a 12-week run from 7 August – 30 October 2021. Casting will be announced shortly. Patrons whose bookings were affected by the Government’s previous directives will be contacted from Friday 23 April 2021 regarding their current bookings with public booking opening at 10am on Friday 30 April 2021. When the country went into lockdown in March and theatres were forced to close, Ian Rickson’s acclaimed production of Uncle Vanya was in the final weeks of its scheduled, sold-out run. The production had received Olivier nominations for Toby Jones (Best Actor Award), Ian Rickson (Best Director Award), Bruno Poet (Best Lighting Design Award) and Rae Smith (Best Set Design Award).
