World premiere stage adaptation of the Wachowskis ‘Bound’ announces lead cast and first development workshop Auto Draft

Award winning Vertigo Theatre Productions have announced the lead cast for the world premiere stage adaptation of the acclaimed movie BOUND written by the legendary Wachowskis (The Matrix, V For Vendetta, Cloud Atlas, Sense8) and adapted to the stage by Craig Hepworth (Porno Chic, Exam, Noir). Stepping into the iconic roles of Violet and Corky (portrayed by Jennifer Tilly and Gina Gershon in the movie) will be Farrel Hegarty (Violet) and Sofia Antonia Milone (Corky). They will be joined by Ben Keenan as Caesar and Richard Allen as Johnnie (played by Joe Pantoliano and Christopher Meloni in the movie) with more casting to be announced in the next few weeks. Manchester, UK based Vertigo Theatre Productions have announced that they have been given permission to present a limited try out production of a new stage adaptation of the iconic film BOUND. The movie written by the legendary Wachowski sisters (The Matrix Movies, V for Vendetta, Cloud Atlas, Sesnse8) will be adapted to the stage by Vertigo's in house writer/director Craig Hepworth and will receive a workshop reading this November. After a critically acclaimed try out production in Manchester in 2017, the original play Noir was set to return in 2020, but then the world stopped due to the pandemic. Out of wanting to keep theatre alive, actors acting and audiences enjoying, the writer/director and producers at Vertigo Theatre Productions, armed with only camera phones, gathered the cast safely in a giant warehouse to put up the production without an audience and film the show on those phones, and not just that, but film it in the style of a black and white movie.
