Oldham Coliseum Theatre have created a new kind of panto magic for 2020. Panto Digital Storytelling will be available online between Saturday 12th December and Saturday 2nd January. Although we’re all missing the spectacle of the Coliseum panto this year, the theatre has created a digital offer that gives audiences the opportunity to invite Dame Dotty Trott and Cinderella into their homes for unique tellings of their famous tales. St Helens Theatre Royal To Change Christmas Pantomime Title Due To Pandemic But A Show Will Go On!

Regal Entertainments announced today that their 2020 Christmas Pantomime at St Helens Theatre Royal has been changed, but a show will go ahead. The curtain was due to go up on Cinderella from Saturday 5th December ’20 – Sunday 3rd January ’21 and had previously announced Linda Robson in the lead role.  However due to the government restrictions now enforced on theatres, it makes the current title not financially viable to continue with, Cinderella is one of the biggest productions in pantomime and carries many additional costs. Producers The Really Useful Group announced today that Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new musical Cinderella will now world premiere at The Gillian Lynne Theatre in London on Wednesday 7th April 2021, with previews from Friday 19th March 2021. Wolverhampton Grand Pantomime Postponed

Wolverhampton Grand Theatre has today announced that regrettably, and with great sadness, their 2020 pantomime CINDERELLA, has been postponed until December 2021. Cinderella is the first pantomime to be produced by the theatre in over three decades and due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the creative teams have been unable to collaborate together to deliver the first-class pantomime audiences have come to expect. The safety and welfare of the audience, artists and employees was also a key factor in the decision to postpone.
