Strong cast announced for Piaf at Leeds Playhouse

A year later than originally intended Leeds Playhouse has announced a strong cast for Piaf telling the extraordinary life story of the world-renowned chanteuse. Tony-nominated and Olivier Award-winning actress Jenna Russell will play the troubled French singing legend, with Sally Ann Triplett now confirmed alongside her in the role of Toine, who was Piaf’s close friend and trusted confidante. Russell and Triplett are friends themselves but have not performed together since the original West End production of Sondheim’s Follies 30 years ago. New stage play Cluedo to tour the UK in 2022

Based on the hit 2001 French film by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Guillaume Laurant of the same name, Amélie tells the story of a young Parisian waitress living in her own little vibrant world. Following a sell-out tour in 2019, the musical adaptation has finally arrived in the West End. I must confess, I have not yet seen the motion picture although I am familiar with it, but after watching the show, Amélie is certainly at the top of my must watch list. Bowdonbury Festival Hailed A Brilliant Bank Holiday Success

Hundreds of festivalgoers enjoyed a weekend of fantastic family fun at the Bowdonbury Festival over the May Bank Holiday and raised thousands of pounds in the process. The sun shone on the event at the Bowdon Cricket, Hockey & Squash Club at Altrincham where revellers enjoyed two days of top tunes from some of the UK’s biggest and best tribute artists.
