Lambert Jackson Productions and Crazy Coqs announces First Date casting

Lambert Jackson Productions and Crazy Coqs today announce a virtual production of the Broadway musical First Date. Dean Johnson directs Samantha Barks (Casey), Oscar Conlon-Morrey (Man #2), Rufus Kampa (Young Aaron), Simon Lipkin (Aaron), Nicholas McLean (Man #1), and Danielle Steers (Woman #1). Punk Theatre Movement: Day Festival Launch Event

The last six months has been hard on everyone, but as restrictions are gradually eased, we face the question – how do we move forward?  Punk Theatre Movement was formed to bring together artists who wish to collaborate, to reconnect with other artists to devise a way to come together in a fairer, more accessible way.  Many of the festivals are becoming inaccessible for artists due to high fees, limited resources and a lack of spaces.  Frisky Arts felt that even though lockdown was hard on artists, it actually presented them with an opportunity to re-imagine how theatre and performance is presented using a new approach and philosophy.  Frisky Arts have joined forces with other artists including Milk and Blood Theatre, Chalk Line Theatre and Grace Church and many more....

Bolton Octagon are back with a live online production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream Bolton Octagon are back with their first bash at a live streamed production offering an online version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream as the theatre’s £12million redevelopment is completed before reopening in December. They are working with Guildford Shakespeare Company (GSC) to present streamed performances from Thursday 24th to Saturday 27th September 2020. This is a new version of GSC’s acclaimed open air production, which was directed by the Octagon’s Artistic Director Lotte Wakeham, who also directs this latest online version. New Liverpool Theatre Festival To Take Place Outdoors In September

Liverpool theatre producer Bill Elms has created a nine-day outdoor live performance festival to support the city’s devastated theatre scene in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic. Liverpool Theatre Festival will take place between Friday 11th September and Saturday 19th September 2020 and is being staged in association with the team behind St Luke’s Bombed Out Church. The event will take place within the church walls, in the grounds of St Luke’s in the heart of Liverpool city centre and will follow stringent social distancing and Government guidelines. Octagon Bolton announces reopening date

After two years the multi-million pounds rebuild at Bolton's Octagon is over and they reopen their doors on Friday 4th December. But theatre goers will have to wait a bit longer to sit in the new auditorium as they are only opening their spanking new Kitchen & Bar, a friendly space for casual eating, drinking and socialising. They will also be hosting some creative workshops, along with a series of festival events. The delay to the building caused by the pandemic, and the lack of a  date from the government of when it will be safe for audiences to return without social distancing, means the Octagon have taken the difficult decision to postpone their previously announced productions.
