Adult Panto returns to Birmingham this December

Due to popular demand, professional Adult Panto returns to Birmingham this December as The Blue Orange Theatre announce Blow White is selling fast!

After the “side-splittingly funny!” production of Tinderella last year, The Blue Orange Theatre are delighted to announce another laugh-a-minute, cheeky show that is definitely not for kids or the faint-hearted!

Just when you thought you knew this timeless tale… SHA-BLAM! You were wrong. Blow-White raised by an Evil Queen, poisoned by a pink lady, looked after by 7 (technically 8) sisters of perpetual indulgence, and best friends with a rabbit. Is there a Prince who can save her from this nightmare?

We can only hope. Come and see the sexy Blow White, gorgeous Prince Charming, naughty Seven (well, 8) and all the gang for this unforgettable night of cheeky, naughty, grown-up laughs!

Blow White: The Adult Panto! will run from Wednesday 2nd – Saturday 12th December 2020 with adult jokes, innuendo, silliness, strong language and outrageous behaviour! Casting is to be announced shortly but with reduced capacity, seats are filling up fast!

“One of the highlights of last year’s festive season was the fantastically funny adult panto. We are delighted to welcome back the same creative team with Blow White being written by Paul Hutton (Billy Elliot, The Producers, Elf the Musical), directed by James Williams (Tinderella, 9 to 5, Divas!), choreographed by CiCi Howells (Jerry Springer, The Greatest Show, Saturday Night Fever) and designed by Alex Johnson (Tinderella, The Greatest Show, Magic of the Movies)” explains Rachel Wells from JW Theatres, who have managed The Blue Orange since 2019.

Extra safety precautions are in place to ensure a safe visit for everyone. These include reduced capacity to maintain social distancing between different groups, digital temperature checks on arrival, hand sanitiser stations throughout the theatre plus track and trace processes, as well as contactless payments and an OrderToSeat service which minimises the interactions between groups.

“We know that lots of people are looking forward to another one of our grown-up takes on a classic story so we have introduced a range of safety measures which we trialled during our recent cinema season. I’m pleased to say that they have been well received and, after the events of 2020, this is going to be a brilliant way to get into the festive spirit!” says James Williams, Artistic Director.

The show is on sale with a reduced capacity; only 40% of the usual number of tickets are available so audiences are encouraged to book now to avoid disappointment!

Tickets are available from The Blue Orange Theatre by visiting www.blueorangetheatre.co.uk or calling the box office on 0121 212 2643.
