Alexandra Palace has announced that it will be reopening The Terrace on Monday, 12th April, with bookings available now. With iconic, panoramic views across the city, and the Palace’s 196 acre park, and able to host up to 400 socially distanced customers at any one time, the Terrace is arguably London’s largest beer garden.
The Terrace will feature street food vendors including Browski Burger and Last Night A Vegan Saved My Life and a large, well-stocked bar, so you can enjoy craft beers, prosecco, wine, soft drinks, a cocktail menu and more. Service will run from 12.30pm each day, with table service and a range of social distancing protocols in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. To book your table go to www.alexandrapalace.com/the-terrace/book-now/
With unparalleled views across the city, the unique space will also include a refreshed set-up with table umbrellas, heaters and a pergola so that you can enjoy the area come rain or shine, making it the perfect spot for after work drinks, weekend meet-ups or to soak up the sun with a drink in hand.
An exciting programme of entertainment is also being planned for the spring and summer. It includes live music, al fresco comedy nights, the best buskers from the capital and beyond providing soothing tunes, plus a host of sports screenings, including all the massive games from Euro 2021. There will also be StrEATlife, Ally Pally’s annual street food event, alongside pop-up and guest food offerings. Stay tuned for all the info, and plenty of surprises too.
The reopening follows a hugely popular debut summer in 2020, when over 17,000 people visited The Terrace.
Simon Fell, Alexandra Palace events director, says: “We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to The Terrace. We had a brilliant stint last year, it was great to see everyone enjoying themselves and getting a chance to relax in the sun. We’ll be making some improvements to The Terrace this year, so it’s even better, and once restrictions allow we’ve got a packed programme of entertainment to offer. Of course, everything will be done in accordance with guidelines from the Government, so it’ll be a safe space to have plenty of fun. Book now to avoid disappointment, and we look forward to welcoming you up here, looking over the city, soon.”
The health and safety of customers is vitally important so the Palace team has developed a range of measures to ensure the area is safe for social distancing and strict hygiene rules are followed. This includes enhanced cleaning, hand sanitiser units, socially distanced tables and table-service only for a maximum group booking of six people. An app ordering system is in place, so there’s no need for cash.
So visit Ally Pally and bask in the sunlight on our south-facing terrace as we serve up top quality food, drinks and entertainment.
