Dr Freud Will See You Now, Mrs Hitler – Upstairs at the Gatehouse

Dr Freud Will See You Now, Mrs Hitler is a dark comedy play by prestigious writing duo Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran. The story takes place in an alternate history, exploring what might have happened had a young Adolf Hitler met trailblazing psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud.  With her child suffering from bedwetting and nightmares, Klara Hitler (Nesba Crenshaw, who also plays Martha Freud) takes him to Vienna for a consultation with Dr Freud (Jonathan Tafler). Years later, in the early 1900s, Adolf Hitler (Sam Mac) is still plagued by nightmares and once again seeks out Dr Freud in Vienna. Cluedo 2 – The Alexandra, Birmingham

Based on the popular board game of the same name and the successful original Cluedo play, Cluedo 2 arrives in Birmingham in its mysterious glory. Fading rock star Rick Black is trying to relaunch his career.  He’s invited his entourage (with very familiar names) to his multi roomed mansion for the first play of his new song. Cluedo 2, a sequel to the hugely popular first play, which toured the UK in 2022, has a host of re-invented characters, a different, intriguing storyline and is set in a whole new mansion. Cluedo 2 has all the potential to be a sure fire hit, with the hugely talented director, Mark Bell (best known for directing The Play That Goes Wrong) and successful stage and screen comedy writers Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran. I was hoping for a night filled with laughter whilst acting the sleuth, however, I only chuckled a few times throughout the evening. Set in the ...
