With delight I went to see Sherlock Productions latest show, the pantomime Hercules and as expected their talent and skill improve with every show – this was my favourite to date! This has become a yearly occurrence for me and one I look forward to as a visual reminder of the true spirit of Christmas – to love one another. Beauty and the Beast – Wesley Centre

Sherlock Productions brought Beauty and the Beast, written by Joshua Clarke and Lewis Clarke to the Wesley Centre in Maltby, Rotherham. Musical Direction by Shelley Edwards, Technical by Steve Trotter, Front of House and Costume Design by Pauline Lister A night of family fun with the obligatory tongue-in-cheek humour and an all-inclusive cast steered by flair by first-time Director Jade Wilkinson. Firstly, may I thank you for your invite to join you on this evening of; what can truly be called; an evening of celebration. Celebration of all things musical, celebration of diversity, celebration of community and celebration of the power of the Arts to entertain and enlighten. Sherlock Productions was originally founded by the late Paddy Sherlock as Humdrum Amdram, but after his tragic passing the company was renamed Sherlock Productions in his honour. The now co-founders Shelley Edwards and Jade Wilkinson state ‘the company aims to be a safe space for all people, irrespective of their needs, abilities, age and gender.
