Georgie absolutely nailed it with this show! From start to finish, the laughter was non-stop, and I wasn’t alone—everyone in the audience was in stitches. She had us all howling with laughter, barely giving us a chance to catch our breath. This performance easily ranks in my top three comedy shows of the Fringe this year.
Don’t worry if you’re not in healthcare; you don’t need to be in the medical field to find her material hilarious. Her humor transcends professions and speaks to something everyone can relate to. That said, if you are in healthcare, especially the NHS, you’re in for an extra treat. About half the audience seemed to be in the medical profession, and they were practically falling out of their seats, laughing so hard. Her stories, especially about giving the wrong drug to the wrong patient and somehow everybody got cured, were absolutely golden. She also had some biting, yet hilarious, insights about physiotherapy, claiming it’s overpaid and monotonous—a jab that had even the physiotherapists in the crowd chuckling.
Georgie’s stage presence was immense; she commanded the room with such ease and kept her energy at full throttle throughout the entire hour. Her ultimate joke about how guys get all excited about marrying a nurse—telling their moms, “Hey Mom, I’m marrying a nurse, and she’s going to take care of me and look after me when I’m sick,” and what happens after that is history—was a perfect closer.
This was a very funny hour, filled with relatable content and fantastic stories. If you’re looking for a comedy show that guarantees side-splitting laughter, look no further. Go see this show—it’s absolutely hilarious!
