Man in the Mirror – Churchill Theatre

Man in the Mirror is a thrilling tribute concert to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Starring CJ as the iconic artist, the show features a live band, talented backup dancers, and powerhouse singers that take you on a journey through MJ’s illustrious career. From the opening number to the final encore, the energy is electric, and you’ll find yourself wanting to “Rock with You” from start to finish.

The concert included all of Michael Jackson’s greatest hits, including memorable tracks from his time with the Jackson 5. The audience was treated to everything that we know and love from “I Want You Back” to solo classics like “Billie Jean,” “Beat It,” “Dirty Diana” and “Black and White” creating a setlist that felt like a true celebration of the King of Pop.

Production-wise, this show is a spectacle. The dazzling choreographies were executed with precision, bringing some of Michael’s most legendary dance routines to life. Whether it was the iconic moonwalk during “Smooth Criminal” or the spine-chilling moves from “Thriller,” the performers delivered with flair. Adding to the magic were stunning visual effects and costumes that were true to the Michael Jackson aesthetic, including the afros sported by the cast during their Jackson 5 performances.

While CJ’s vocals were fantastic and captured the spirit of Michael’s music, CJ’s speaking voice was not that similar to the King of Pop’s. He could tweak his speaking voice during audience interactions to align more closely with Michael’s signature soft-spoken tone. That said, it is important to remember that this is a tribute, and no one can truly “Heal the World” the way Michael did, but CJ and the cast come impressively close.

For those of us who have never had the chance to see Michael perform live, this show is a perfect way to celebrate his incredible legacy. The passion, talent, and sheer joy on stage remind us why Michael Jackson remains the “Man in the Mirror” who inspired generations and will continue to inspire future generations.

This high-energy concert had the crowd dancing in their seats and singing along to every word. For fans of the King of Pop, it’s an absolute must-see, and for those less familiar with his music, it’s the perfect introduction to why Michael Jackson remains a global icon. Don’t stop ‘til you get enough and catch CJ whilst you can! https://entertainers.co.uk/shows/man-in-the-mirror-a-tribute-to-michael-jackson
