Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Aspects of Love originally came to stage in 1989, this beautifully written adaptation with Lyrics by Don Black and Charles Hart revisits the emotional tumultuous and ethically challenged love triangle set in post war France and Venice. Michael Ball returns to the stage as the accomplished George Dillingham. Actress Rose, fickle and in need of male affection is performed with palpable emotion and grit by Laura Pitt-Pulford. Burnout starts with tackling the impact of flooding in a northern town, the effects of climate change, on the local people, the environment and the activists vying for solutions.  The characters Bridgette (Bridge) an activist and Amara a 16yr old girl who pops out to get milk quickly finds she is enthralled and curious about the activist (Bridge). Amara is keen to share her thoughts and feelings of the impact of activism on the cause and herself. Graceland by Ava Wong Davies and directed by Anna Himali Howard and Izzy Rabey features the character Nina a British Chinese woman in her mid-20 who falls in love with a wealthy white man who captivates her attention at an ‘optimistic’ Barbecue. The stage set out to replicate a school locker room, simplistic but instantly recognisable. The play centred on a bemusing incident involving Vix played by Heloise Spring and Helen (Lucy Sherraft) younger siblings.
