His rendition of the show’s iconic numbers are outstanding, and he effortlessly balances the character’s flamboyant humour with moments of genuine charm.
Haley Flaherty shines as Janet, taking the character on a delightful journey from sweet innocence to self-discovery. Her vocal performance is exceptional, bringing warmth and personality to every scene. Alongside her, James Bisp is wonderfully endearing as Brad, capturing the character’s awkward charm perfectly while demonstrating excellent comic timing throughout.
Ryan Carter Wilson delivers a standout performance as the mysterious Riff Raff. His commanding stage presence and distinctive characterisation make him impossible to take your eyes off whenever he appears. Laura Bird is equally impressive as Magenta, bringing energy, attitude, and powerhouse vocals to the role.
The ensemble deserve enormous praise for maintaining the show’s relentless pace and high energy throughout. The choreography is sharp, the musical numbers are performed with precision, and favourites including “The Time Warp,” “Sweet Transvestite,” and “Dammit Janet” are met with huge enthusiasm from the audience.
