From its launch locally in Manchester back in 2014, North West End UK has grown year on year (including during the pandemic when they diversified to review online theatre) and 2023 sees no sign of that growth stopping as they continue to cover more and more of the UK. Live theatre is more important than ever today and North West End UK strive to promote and review all forms of theatre performed from the smallest community hall up to the biggest arenas in the UK.
To feed the appetite of producers, venues and PR’s, North West End UK is undertaking a huge recruitment drive and seeks new reviewers across the UK, and they need you!
No experience is necessary, all that they ask is that you have a love for theatre, can commit to a deadline and write a balanced and honest review. Many of their reviewers currently visit a great number of shows per year, although the minimum commitment asked for is just 6 reviews in a 12-month period, that is one every 8 weeks on average.
If you believe you have what it takes to join their current team contact recruitment@northwestend.com now, stating where in the UK you are based. Their regional editors will then send you an information pack* and request an ‘audition’ review from you to demonstrate your writing ability.
North West End UK are especially looking to recruit urgently in London where demand for reviews is far outstripping capacity with reviewing opportunities available as early as next week. Manchester, Liverpool, Fylde Coast, Yorkshire, Edinburgh and Glasgow are also current hotspots, although they can offer opportunities across the UK.
If you are reading this and it isn’t for you, please consider forwarding this article to a friend, they may repay you by inviting you as their guest to a review as many venues offer a pair of tickets to press nights.
