North West End UK announces major expansion

North West End UK today announces a major expansion as theatres prepare to return reopen next month in the first major step to normality following the Covid-19 epidemic.

North West End UK (NWE) was founded in 2015 with the vision of promoting and reviewing amateur, fringe and professional theatre on an equal platform. With just a 2 man team in the beginning, the site has grown over the last 6 years and now has over 100 reviewers on their books across the UK.

NWE has worked tirelessly during the pandemic in continuing to review online offerings from theatres and producers across the internet. Covering nearly 500 productions they have been one of the leading exponents of online theatre in the UK since March 2020. During this time they have also worked hard to forge contacts across the UK including theatres, producers and PR agencies. A brand new website and the creation of their North West End UK Live brand has further enhanced their online presence.

Moving forward as theatres prepare to reopen in 2021 it has become clear that even with 100+ reviewers on their books the need to add more to the team is apparent with requests to review shows begin to flood into head office.

NWE began in Manchester before quickly expanding to cover Liverpool, Leeds, Sheffield, Birmingham, Hull, Edinburgh and London and various towns and cities in between. Now they plan to expand even further to include Glasgow, Aberdeen and the South West before the end of the year.

As a result, NWE are looking to recruit reviewers across the UK to join them in their quest to review every show requested. If you’d like to join the team, Editor Paul Downham is inviting prospective reviewers to apply NOW.

If you have a love for theatre in any form NWE are asking you to email info@northwestend.co.uk today with the area in which you live to apply to become their next volunteer reviewer. They provide 1 or 2 (depending on venue capacity) complimentary ticket(s) to opening VIP press nights in return for a review submitted within an agreed timescale. They pledge to reply within 24 hours with full details of how to proceed.

The areas in which they are looking to recruit initially are Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, North and South Wales, Yorkshire, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, South West and London, within the M25.

If this could be you, send an email now and become part of the fastest growing theatre review website in the UK.
