Theatre fans are promised a journey from London’s West End to New York’s Broadway when hit-packed production Theatreland comes to the DriveINSIDE Trafford Centre Theatre on Saturday, May 22nd.
Show producer Adam Curtis says that the audience will be treated to a musical theatre journey beginning in the Emerald City with songs from the smash-hit musical Wicked.
“Before you know it, you’ll find yourself in Swinging Sixties Baltimore with Hairspray,” he says.
“Our amazing cast of singers and dancers will have you captivated from start to finish.
“Watch the magic of Phantom of the Opera, clap your hands and stamp your feet to We Will Rock You and cheer as Baby is lifted in Dirty Dancing.”
With hits from The Jersey Boys, Six, Grease, Mary Poppins, The Dream Girls and Dear Evan Hansen packed into the performance, producers Curtis Productions promise DriveINSIDE theatregoers will be dancing in the aisles.
“If musical theatre is your thing, you will not be disappointed,” says Adam. “From the costumes to the super-talented singers and dancers – come and join the cast as they transport you from your car to the splendour and wonder of. . . Theatreland.
About The DriveINSIDE Theatre
The venue for Theatreland is the world’s first drive-inside, Covid-safe theatre.
The ingenious venue has a team of Theatrical Drive Jockeys, who welcome audience members as they arrive in their cars and escort the vehicle to its own dedicated parking space beneath a 68,000 sq ft marquee – Europe’s largest.
Customers are only allowed to exit their vehicles on the driver’s side and can then sit outside their cars in their own, private, socially-distanced, isolated area.
This allows the organisers to treat ticket purchasers to the thrill of real, live entertainment. Visitors can enjoy the comfort and security of enjoying the entertainment in a Covid-secure environment.
