Critically acclaimed Noir goes online this Winter

Multi award winning Vertigo Theatre Productions have been at the forefront of the fringe theatre scene in Manchester since 2007, now in these troubled times, the company are thinking outside the box and are premiering a BRAND NEW production of their hit play NOIR online this December. Rather than just showing a copy of the original try out production from 2017, Vertigo and the cast and crew will film this brand new production this November at The Empty Space Theatre without an audience, meaning you can see the premiere before the show ever goes in front of a live audience. This December you can be at the world premiere from the comfort of your own home.

NOIR transports you back to a time of black and white movies of the 30s, 40s and 50s. It’s New York City, a single spotlight illuminates a detective stood under a streetlight, fog swirls around his feet as he lights his cigarette, jazz music echoes all around, Welcome to the world of NOIR.

Veronica Smart is a beautiful 39-year-old woman married to her husband Cliff for 16 years, always wanting to be a star, she has now grown tired of the marriage and wants out. Meeting a group of teenagers at the local school she works, sets in motion a plan that will include seduction, passion, lies, manipulation and murder.

With a brand new eye popping black and white multimedia visual production, NOIR promises to be something you have never seen on the fringe scene before. NOIR is a play simply to entertain, to allow you to leave the troubles of the outside world and escape for a few hours into a world of hardened detectives, burning desires, teen angst, lust and a deadly femme fatale.

Written and directed by multi award winning Craig Hepworth (Porno Chic, Fake News, Last Dance, Exam) NOIR will bring the world of, black and white movies and pulp detective novels to the stage.

Cameras will roll this November filming an exciting capture of the play, it will then be available to stream at 7.30pm on Saturday 19th December and at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on Sunday 20th December.

Tickets are available via www.ticketsource.co.uk priced at ONLY £10.

The show will stream via a private You Tube screening (you will receive a code to allow you to log in to join the world premiere streaming event).

The cast will include the original 2017 cast members Emma Morgan, Richard Allen, Danny Clifford, Stu Meevens, Anna Hickling, Joe Slack, Luke Richards and Bekka Jane Milner. They will be joined by new cast members Ugo Onwughalu and Rebecca Clare Evans (Recently seen in Exam)

Theatre is facing great difficulties at the moment during the COVID19 pandemic, to be able to do anything to bring the joy of theatre to people is something we are all very excited to do.

We also wanted to say thank you to our brilliant NHS nurses who have worked nonstop to keep us safe during these times, often for not enough money and working all hours. So, all NHS Nurses will be able to watch the show online for FREE. All you need to do us email us from your NHS email to confirm and we will send you a code to watch the show (vertigoproductions04@yahoo.co.uk). Thank you from all of us at Vertigo.

So, join us this December, turn the lights down, grab a glass of wine and enjoy the show that was called ‘Stylish and Stunning’ and ‘Not to be missed’ by the critics. Outside will be cold this December, be we will be turning up the heat in NOIR.
